These drawings were made in February 2023, in the process of designing the typeface NOVA for James Langdon's project Neurovague: a website which generates abstract images for neuroscientists to use in presentations of their research. The selection of 71 drawings is presented in the order in which they were produced. The title, Opacity Engraving, comes from the first Neurovague composition typeset in NOVA. 이 드로잉들은 2023년 2월, 제임스 랭던의 프로젝트 ‘Neurovague’를 위해 서체 NOVA를 디자인하는 과정에서 제작되었다. ‘Neurovague’는 신경과학 연구자들이 연구 발표에 사용할 수 있도록 추상 이미지를 생성하는 웹사이트이다. 총 71점의 드로잉은 제작된 순서대로 제시되어 있다. 제목인 ‘Opacity Engraving’은 NOVA 서체로 식자된 첫 번째 ‘Neurovague’ 구성물에서 비롯되었다. (Opacity Engraving, pp. 73–74)
